The Mixologist Pete - Antique Black Lacquer Box

The Mixologist Pete is an English handmade Victorian paper mache cheroot box to hold slim cigars.

The pretty hand painted floral bouquet on both side, each side a unique image. 

He has gilded scrolling decoration along all four edges is beautiful traditional victorian piece. 

He has a push button secure hinge opening. 

Inside he has residue of the lead lining, to have kept the cigars fresh. Most of this has come away.

Pete is finished in traditional black lacquer body

He has some minor wear otherwise he is in good condition for his age

Dates Victorian cira 1865

Has a metal plaque on his lid, monogrammed in Old English Gothic font with  I Coste

Collectible English papier mache box. Never seen this shape before which make him  very rare and a unique piece due to the hand painted work and the monogram plaque.
